Tammi Grommes has served as Treasurer for Macktown Living History since 2022 and was previously Assistant Treasurer.

Her first experiences at Macktown were as a visitor to Frenchman’s Frolic and Sundays at Macktown events with her two children. Although her children are now teenagers, she continues to prioritize making Macktown a destination for families with small children. She works with members of the Program Committee to plan and carry out events focused on families.

She has also worked with other board members and volunteers to update the Education Center’s main level. She has reorganized the Gift Shop and refreshed its inventory over the last year. She is also involved in plans to create new displays highlighting the unique history of the site, as well as what life was like for its inhabitants.

Tammi feels that Macktown can continue to foster relationships with the Rockton business community and with other local historic sites in the area to increase its profile and expand its programs.
